I'm super duper stoked about this program. It's a year long Web Design Certificate program at North Island College in the Comox Valley (on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada).
Although this is something that I know I will enjoy so much and I'm so happy for the chance to live on the island, this is bittersweet.
My long-term boyfriend, Duncan, is staying behind in Vernon, which is about a 6 hr drive and 2 hr ferry ride away from where I'm going to be living. I'm trying to stay positive about us and how this experience will build a stronger relationship, but it's going to be hard. We haven't been apart for more then a month since high school, 6 and half years ago! Crazy!
The next couple months are going to busy and chaotic but a big part of me is Yeah! Change! This is the first step to a career that I'm actually excited about and that I will actually want.
Oh and this is something I can check off my 23 before 24 list!

Thanks Mel! I'm excited to start learning more about Design and start making it my career. I'm a little scared since it's school and that means tests and such but I'm sure I'll do great.
